Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF2A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF2A data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher EIF2A Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF2A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.

HNSC, LUAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where EIF2A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
