Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EIF1B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EIF1B data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher EIF1B mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EIF1B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and LSCC show a favorable association.

UCEC, HNSC, and PDAC are the cancer types where EIF1B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
