Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EGR2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EGR2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher EGR2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EGR2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, BRCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where EGR2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
