Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EGFL8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EGFL8 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher EGFL8 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EGFL8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

COAD and LGG are the cancer types where EGFL8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
