Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EFCAB8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated EFCAB8 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher EFCAB8 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EFCAB8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and PAAD show a favorable association.
KIRC, UVM, and LUSC are the cancer types where EFCAB8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
