Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EFCAB8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EFCAB8 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher EFCAB8 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EFCAB8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.

CESC, UCEC, and ESCA are the cancer types where EFCAB8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
