Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EFCAB3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated EFCAB3 data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher EFCAB3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EFCAB3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LIHC, COAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where EFCAB3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
