Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, EFCAB1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated EFCAB1 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher EFCAB1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated EFCAB1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and UVM show a favorable association.
KICH, BLCA, and BRCA are the cancer types where EFCAB1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
