Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DUX4L52 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of DUX4L52’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), where DUX4L52 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types DUX4L52 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PRAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
PRAD, BRCA, and THCA are the cancer types where DUX4L52 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
