Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DUS2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of DUS2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where DUS2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types DUS2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, HNSC, and KIRP are the cancer types where DUS2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
