Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DROSHA mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated DROSHA data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher DROSHA mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DROSHA expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and HNSC show a favorable association.
GBM, HNSC, and LSCC are the cancer types where DROSHA mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
