DOK4

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DOK4 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of DOK4’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where DOK4 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types DOK4 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, KIRP, and KICH are the cancer types where DOK4 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
