Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DNASE2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated DNASE2 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in rectum adenocarcinoma (READ), where higher DNASE2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DNASE2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA show a favorable association.
READ, SKCM, and STAD are the cancer types where DNASE2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
