Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DNAJA1P5 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of DNAJA1P5’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where DNAJA1P5 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types DNAJA1P5 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, THCA, and STAD are the cancer types where DNAJA1P5 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
