Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DESI2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated DESI2 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher DESI2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DESI2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD, UCEC, and ESCA are the cancer types where DESI2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
