Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DEFB135 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated DEFB135 data layer compared with 13 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher DEFB135 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DEFB135 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC and LUAD are the cancer types where DEFB135 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
