Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DEFB129 RNA is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated DEFB129 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher DEFB129 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DEFB129 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KICH show a favorable association.

THCA, BLCA, and SCLC are the cancer types where DEFB129 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
