DEFB124

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DEFB124 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of DEFB124’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where DEFB124 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types DEFB124 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, UCEC, and KICH are the cancer types where DEFB124 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
