Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DEFB1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated DEFB1 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher DEFB1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DEFB1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
BLCA and STAD are the cancer types where DEFB1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
