Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DDX42 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated DDX42 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher DDX42 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DDX42 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and LUAD show a favorable association.

COAD, CCRCC, and HNSC are the cancer types where DDX42 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
