Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DDO Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated DDO data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher DDO Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DDO expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, LUSC, and SKCM are the cancer types where DDO Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
