Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DBX1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated DBX1 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher DBX1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DBX1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LIHC and SCLC show a favorable association.

KIRC, LIHC, and SCLC are the cancer types where DBX1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
