Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, DAOA Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated DAOA data layer compared with 11 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher DAOA Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated DAOA expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
ESCA and UCEC are the cancer types where DAOA Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
