Across TCGA patient cohorts, CYSTM1 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 11,853 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible CYSTM1-associated genes across cancer lineages are C4BPB, NCOA3, and MEX3A. Each is linked with CYSTM1 in more than 3 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both CYSTM1-to-partner and partner-to-CYSTM1 results are reported.
