Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CYS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CYS1 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher CYS1 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CYS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and LGG show a favorable association.
KIRC, LGG, and MESO are the cancer types where CYS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
