Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CYP46A1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CYP46A1 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher CYP46A1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CYP46A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
GBM, HNSC, and LUSC are the cancer types where CYP46A1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
