Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CYP2C56P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CYP2C56P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where CYP2C56P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CYP2C56P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as STAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
STAD are the cancer types where CYP2C56P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
