Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CYP26B1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CYP26B1 data layer compared with 11 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher CYP26B1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CYP26B1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC and DLBC show a favorable association.
ACC, SCLC, and DLBC are the cancer types where CYP26B1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
