Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CYCSP23 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CYCSP23’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where CYCSP23 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CYCSP23 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BRCA, LUSC, and KIRC are the cancer types where CYCSP23 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
