Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CXXC5 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CXXC5 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher CXXC5 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CXXC5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD show a favorable association.

LSCC, PDAC, and LUAD are the cancer types where CXXC5 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
