Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CXCR3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CXCR3 data layer compared with 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher CXCR3 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CXCR3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, SKCM, and UCEC are the cancer types where CXCR3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
