Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CTSO Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CTSO data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher CTSO Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CTSO expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
COAD, BRCA, and HNSC are the cancer types where CTSO Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
