Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CTSK mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CTSK data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher CTSK mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CTSK expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC show a favorable association.
UCEC, PDAC, and GBM are the cancer types where CTSK mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
