Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CTIF Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CTIF data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher CTIF Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CTIF expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KICH, COAD, and CHOL are the cancer types where CTIF Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
