Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CTAGE14P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CTAGE14P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in rectum adenocarcinoma (READ), where CTAGE14P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CTAGE14P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as READ and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
READ, LUAD, and COAD are the cancer types where CTAGE14P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
