Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CSMD2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CSMD2 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher CSMD2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CSMD2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ACC and CHOL show a favorable association.

KIRP, UVM, and LIHC are the cancer types where CSMD2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
