Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CRYBA2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CRYBA2 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher CRYBA2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CRYBA2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and CESC show a favorable association.
KIRC, MESO, and THYM are the cancer types where CRYBA2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
