Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CRX Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CRX data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher CRX Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CRX expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
ESCA, LUSC, and BLCA are the cancer types where CRX Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
