Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CRP RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CRP data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher CRP RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CRP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and ACC show a favorable association.

ESCA, LUAD, and KICH are the cancer types where CRP RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
