Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CPT1A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CPT1A data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher CPT1A mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CPT1A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV and HNSC show a favorable association.
LUAD, OV, and COAD are the cancer types where CPT1A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
