Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, COX7CP1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 8 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of COX7CP1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where COX7CP1 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types COX7CP1 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as STAD and LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, STAD, and CHOL are the cancer types where COX7CP1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
