Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, COX17 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated COX17 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher COX17 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated COX17 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and OV show a favorable association.

HNSC, CCRCC, and LUAD are the cancer types where COX17 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
