Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, COX16 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated COX16 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher COX16 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated COX16 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC and UCEC are the cancer types where COX16 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
