Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, COQ8A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated COQ8A data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher COQ8A Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated COQ8A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, SKCM, and COAD are the cancer types where COQ8A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
