Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, COL5A2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated COL5A2 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher COL5A2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated COL5A2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRC, STAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where COL5A2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
