Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, COL4A5 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated COL4A5 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher COL4A5 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated COL4A5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and HNSC show a favorable association.
LUAD, CCRCC, and HNSC are the cancer types where COL4A5 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
