Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, COL16A1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated COL16A1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher COL16A1 Mutation is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated COL16A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, COAD, and DLBC are the cancer types where COL16A1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
