Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CNTFR Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CNTFR data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher CNTFR Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CNTFR expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SCLC and COAD are the cancer types where CNTFR Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
