Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CMTM8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CMTM8 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher CMTM8 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CMTM8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, UCEC, and ACC are the cancer types where CMTM8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
