Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CLPTM1L mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated CLPTM1L data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher CLPTM1L mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CLPTM1L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and PDAC show a favorable association.

CCRCC, HNSC, and LSCC are the cancer types where CLPTM1L mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
